I think that Bitcoin actually is going to survive this long term. I think that the idea of what it is and what it enables is strong enough because it's an anti-fiat bet. Is Bitcoin scalable on chain to the point where anyone can send BTC to a friend overseas? No, it's not. And you can do that, but you're going to have to pay a high fee that may be cost prohibitive to the overall value of the transaction. What it is good at is being an asset that can't be created or controlled by any sovereign nation or independent actor.
