Vaccine Mandates Are Not About Health
Whether you got the jab or didn't, what we just witnessed from Biden yesterday was beyond the pale. What he's wrong about and why vaccine mandates are a public health ruse.
No, I don't think it should be mandatory. I wouldn't demand it be mandatory.
That was king-elect Joe Biden back in December 2020.
Fast forward to September 9th, and we have a de facto vaccine mandate. Fun times.
I'm an ox
Here are some specifics about myself. I'm going to share actual health figures with you because, well, my health and the decisions I make are apparently your business. I'm 34 years old. I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall and I weigh 205 pounds. According to this BMI chart, I'm 6 pounds overweight. That stated, I'm far closer to normal weight than obese. Frankly, I could get to "normal" by the end of the month if I really wanted to but I'm not trying to be in the Olympics. I have no comorbidities and I am not currently on a single medication. I take 3 supplements daily: Vitamin D3 and Zinc to help boost my immune system as well as Omega-3 fish oil for heart health. I exercise 5 days a week. My workout mix is usually an early morning run 60% of the time and a weight routine the remaining 40%. I take my dog on an extended walk at the end of each day. I eat a salad for lunch Monday through Friday. I eat fast food less than 6 times per year. I had a weird looking spot on my skin checked out about two months ago and my dermatologist said it was a mole. The worst decision I make pertaining to my personal health is I drink alcohol exclusively during the weekends. Other than that, I'm in pretty goddamn good shape. I am very, VERY low risk to have complications from COVID-19 should I become infected.
Beyond that, the area that I spend most of my time is not a hotbed of COVID. I work from my office in a neighboring county 3 days per week. In that building, I have my own office with a door and I generally don't come within 6 feet of anyone. The rest of my time is spent in my home county. I live there. I shop and eat there. Just about every normal extracurricular activity I partake in is in my home county. I live in the new Manhattan, what can I say. When you calculate it in aggregate, I spend approximately 84% of my time in a given week in my home county. My home county does not have a COVID problem. Pure and simple.
My county hasn't had a 7-day death average eclipse zero in five months. Things are admittedly slightly worse in the county I work, but that is because the population is more than three times larger than my home county and the city I work in has a larger population density than the smaller towns in neighboring counties.
That said, both the county where I live and the county where I work are rolled up into the same region in Ohio's coronavirus dashboard.
This dashboard allows us to see what the hospitals are up against from a capacity standpoint. You're not going to believe this given the rhetoric in the lapdog press, but there seems to be plenty of capacity. Also interesting, most of the inpatient and ICU beds are being taken by non-COVID patients. As of yesterday, 73% of the ventilators are available. COVID patients in ICU could double and there would still be 15% open beds. The biggest issue the healthcare system in my area has right now is a labor shortage not a patient capacity shortage. But that's a topic for another day.
Vaccines for everyone! Yay!
Despite all of this, King Biden has determined every company with 100 people in these jurisdictions must mandate vaccination of all employees or submit them to weekly testing without symptoms. Now, if we put on our logistical hats for a moment and think this through, we have to ask ourselves how the companies that choose to be compliant with this can possibly test such a large number of employees on a regular basis. Where are they getting the tests? Who is administering the tests? Are the tested employees allowed to work before the test results or do they have to wait? Or are we expecting employees to self-fund and self-test from their homes? This is a nightmare for employers. Which is precisely why most companies who comply with this edict might be more likely to just mandate vaccination and terminate the employees who don't prove they got the jab. It's important that we understand how dumb this all is by providing context.
Not to beat a dead horse, but there are some statements that we can make about the vaccines that are facts:
the vaccines are not sterilizing, breakthrough cases are rising
the vaccines do not stop the spread of the virus
viral loads in vaccinated individuals are about the same as in unvaccinated individuals
vaccine immunity is temporary and will probably require boosters
the drug companies that manufactured the vaccines, however, have immunity from litigation
Reading these statements, one could wonder what the vaccines actually do? The early data shows the vaccines do help reduce the risk of hospitalizations and death substantially. We also know those who were hospitalized and those who died were typically people who were already very unhealthy, very old, and already at risk for disease. Young, healthy individuals getting very sick from COVID, while not completely non-existent, is rare. And yet, King Biden thinks everyone in this county should be forced to inject themselves with a substance that will give them what is, at best, temporary protection. Since there are tens of millions of Americans who are not in poor physical shape, the risks of taking a shot without recourse might not be worth the benefits of the injection. This means King Biden has determined your statistical likelihood of severe complications from the virus is irrelevant. You must take the vaccine anyway. Even though the vaccine doesn't actually stop the spread of the virus. This is profoundly un-American and anti-science.
I share all of this to illustrate a point. Vaccine mandates are not about health. Clearly. This is about control and it is about keeping us dependent on our masters. "Oh, you don't want to get the jab? Fuck you, you're fired then. Good luck feeding your family." Pro-vax or anti-vax, we should probably all be extremely concerned with the weaponization of "public health." It's funny that just two days before the 20th anniversary of 9/11, it could actually be this new vaccination mandate that ends up being the defining moment of our generation. When do we push back? When have we given up enough freedom? We've now spent nearly 20 years taking off our shoes to get on an airplane yet the evidence shows that the increased security at airports has indirectly led to thousands of deaths via car accidents. pUbLiC sAFeTy though, amirite?
Who are our masters?
For all the hand-wringing we get from the left about how the oil lobby is trying to thwart climate change, nobody seems overly concerned that the lobbyist spending from big pharma dwarfs the lobbying spent by all other categories on an annual basis. Pharma spent almost three times what oil and gas spent last year on lobbying.
At over $306 million last year, not only was the spending from the pharmaceutical industry absurdly higher than every other category, but the amount of lobbyists Pfizer had last year was higher than at any point in the last decade.
At 102 lobbyists working Pfizer, Pfizer had more lobbyists in 2020 than Johnson & Johnson (70), Moderna (2), and AstraZeneca (23) combined. From a raw spending perspective, Pfizer has also outspent the other three companies mentioned combined by about 24% year to date. The cynic in me wonders of it's a coincidence that Pfizer is the only COVID vaccination that has full FDA approval. We already know the FDA lost 2 senior officials over King Biden's vaccine agenda not aligning with the protocols of the agency. It's apparently of little concern that it is actually the FDA, not Biden, who is tasked with approving vaccinations based off of clinical trial data and scientific research. Again, say it with me this time, vaccine mandates are not about health.
Biden is an idiot. Or a liar. Probably both.
There I said it. After sleeping off my outrage at the vaccine mandate, I went to one of the reputable sources (as determined by our tech overlords at Google) and watched Biden's entire speech from yesterday. It took 8 seconds to piss me off again. These are the quotes that I wrote down with my color commentary immediately following in italics.
"Many of us are frustrated with the nearly 80 million Americans who are still not vaccinated." I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
"This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated." Lacking context. There were no vaccines when this started. There are plenty of breakthrough cases now.
"The unvaccinated overcrowd our hospitals." False. The hospitals in my area have a labor shortage problem not a spatial capacity problem.
"My plan protects our economy." False. This plan will harm the labor market even further.
"This is not about freedom or personal choice." That's actually exactly what it's about there, professor.
"And for other sectors, I issue this appeal, to those of you running large entertainment venues, please require folks to get vaccinated or show a negative test as a condition to get entry." That should be great for the economy.
To the unvaccinated: "What more do you need to see?" Get rid of the side effect litigation immunity for the manufacturers. What are you so afraid of, Joe?
To the vaccinated: "You're as safe as possible and we're doing everything we can to keep it that way. That's where boosters come in!" The shots work! That's why you need more shots! Snake oil salesman alert!
These comments were all within the first 14 minutes of a nearly 30 minute speech. By this time, it appeared as though Biden started to get tired. He started misspeaking and slurring more often as time went on. Frankly, though I watched the rest of the speech, I had already seen enough to make this fundamental observation; King Biden has made this an us versus them situation. Why? If the vaccines work so well for those who take the needle, why do you care if everyone has it or not? The notion that getting everyone "vaccines or else" would protect the economy is laughable. Forcing employees to provide vaccination proof or risk five figure fines for the employer isn't going to end with more people working it will end with less people working. After watching that speech, I have a lot of thoughts. Obviously. But they all come back to the same takeaway. Vaccine mandates are not about health. Nothing about that speech tried to foster unity. King Joey conflated so many talking points I can't even address all of them. But this final one is a good one to end with.
We've had record job creation for a new administration. Economic growth unmatched in 40 years. We can not let unvaccinated do this progress. Undo it. Turn it back.
Really Sleepy Joe
First, that is not a typo. He said unvaccinated do this progress and corrected himself. More importantly, the jobs he says were created were not created. They were allowed to exist against after they suddenly weren't allowed to exist. We are still more than 5 million people in the workforce away from where we were pre-COVID. So don't let him fool. His policies haven't "created" anything except more division among the populace.
Who needs honest facts with context though when you can just continue to lie again and again? And if you've been hate-reading this article to this point and think this is the only information in that speech that Joe played fast and loose with, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you can buy.
Final Comment: It's all connected
The censorship. The authoritarian edicts. The digitization of currency via CBDC. Sure as you are born it is all connected. I'm now seeing a bunch of content creators come to the realization that I came to earlier this year. The heretics of society will not be allowed to have a voice. QTR and Chris Martenson are already preparing for life after Twitter and YouTube.
I do not fear COVID19. I do not fear losing my job. I do fear vaccination passports. I do fear what that precedent would set. I do fear the level of similarities with 1930's Germany that I currently see forming in America. If we don't get serious about stopping this tyranny, we will lose all autonomy. We will lose all rights and freedoms. The removal of freedoms to protect "public health" can mean absolutely anything. Those championing what just happened yesterday will have a rude awakening when the amount of Coca-colas one can drink in a given week gets a hard cap. They will have a rude awakening when their government provided spending accounts block transactions from liquor stores or candy shops. We will not be individuals with freedoms and rights. We will be reduced to QR codes with social credit scores who will be allowed a certain level of fun provided we've taken the daily vitamins from "the elders."
One has not only a legal, but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.
MLK
If you take anything from this, I just hope it is this: vaccine mandates are not about health. If you internalize that as truth, what are you prepared to do? How far are you willing to go? Fortunately, you can still decide the answers to those questions for yourself. Here's one more quote to leave you with. This government we have is a bloated, incompetent, clusterfuck of an entity. When things get bad, they're going to invoke the animal house defense.
You fucked up. You trusted us.
